Today is yet another day, the birds are chirping and the weather is fantastic. Although, December is supposedly the coldest month, the weather is surprisingly very warm. It is a great day to go out for shopping or just hang around with friends. Better off; go for a long drive, away from civilization.
Today, there are numerous things that one can indulge into. We are still alive to see the colors of nature, to see the moving world. We see people who we co-exist with; school kids waiting for their school buses, mothers taking their young ones to school, old couple going for their morning walk, young college crowd crossing the road indulged in their own world that they unknowingly jump the red signal, and young professionals running to catch their bus. Moreover, we never miss to meet familiar faces. A few minutes of exchanging quick “hellos” and we are off.
We meet our colleagues and a few friends on our way to our cubicles or meetings. Friends come over to our desks and we chat for a few minutes. Work in progress until lunch time until we meet again for lunch and then snacks.
We leave office late and the chase begins; catching the only transportation provided by our company to catching a rickshaw/bus that is about to leave without us. We reach home, have dinner, prepare for tomorrow, talk to our loved ones, and sleep.
Ever realized, in our busy schedules we often forget those who are not with us anymore especially who are not related to us directly.
I often wonder how they survive aware that somebody will never come back home. I wonder how he/she would have felt on a day like today.
