Ever got bored of life and wished that something happens.
Post 26/11, life is bouncing back. People are settling down and are getting busier with work. Plans are being chalked out, holiday season has begun, and people are adventuring out to new horizons.
Did I miss something? Ah!! The post effects of Mumbai 26/11, the slogans, the rise of the political parties, the war threat. Looks like, the volcano has subsided.
A few days ago, My colleague and I were discussing about Major Unnikrishnan and my colleague commented that Sandeep had died someone else’s death. He had broken a protocol. According to my colleague, breaking protocols is considered as a crime in the Indian Army.
WOW, I said to myself, we are no less. After the whole mayhem, we are sitting in our A.C. rooms, sipping hot coffee and postmorteming the dead. Wonder, when we are going to learn that life is too short to postmortem actions of others. Especially of those who were there then and we were NOT.

ReplyDeleteAbout your colleague well ya he is partly right.I dont know about the Protocol thing but yes he did die saving one of the commandoes.But even if the protocol thing is right than think that he chose to break the protocol and chose to die to save someone else.I have never come across such a person in Real Life.Have only seen them in Movies.Never thought they exist for real.We all know the kind of Soldier he was but ever since I learned more about him the kind of person & a friend he was,i havent been able to get him out of my mind.His GOODNESS is Killing me from inside and the fact that we cant get him and people like him any JUSTICE is making me more & more Upset and Angry.I regularly visit his profile on Orkut and leave him a scrap.I have promised myself to keep My Hero ALIVE in My Heart,My Soul And My Life...
Well I am sorry to say that I dont AGREE WITH YOU when you say Indians have woke up because the reactions that you saw was nothing more than a Huge Anger Baloon that got larger and larger
till it finally Popped out.Well I have a profile on Facebook where I created an ALBUM OF Major Unnikrishnan below which I added my personal comments and I used a very AGRESSIVE TONE out there.I was expecting comments but all i got is Nothing.No one is even discussing the MUMBAI ATTACKS any more..Infact people are rather talking about the Christmas Celebrations ahead,cricket and Ghajini..Well seems like Entertainers in India even though they charge us much higher for their SO CALLED ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS,are more important than the Soldiers who protect us and save us at the cost of their own lives...And Yes lots of people do want War against Pakistan and why not...they have no one to loose.They dont have anyone in the Indian Forces..How does it Bother them even if the soldiers die.Afterall the sodiers are not their family right..

returned to Mumbai she got a grand welcome.same with our cricketers when they won the 20-20 world cup.well the 1st one won an international beauty peagant and the latter won a game cup.But when Nsg commandoes won a war,a war because when people trained by a Nation's MILITARY and NAVY Attack us its a WAR and NOT TERRORIST ATTACKS and they are a kind of COMMANDOES.We are stupid enough to call them ATANKWADIs.well so when NSG Won THE WAR all they were given was a BEST BUS RIDE.
Well Honestly I feel Everyone should leave Indian Forces then be it Army,Navy,Airforce,Police whatever.This Nation is full of selfish people who deserve to die at the hands of enemy,Terrorists whatever.Be it people or be it politicians.We are not worth enough to be saved at the cost of their lives.I mean when it comes to National Security situation like we had in mumbai last week,we want army,police,commandoes to sacrifice their lives and keep us safe.Every one said HATS OFF TO NSG COMMANDOES and the POLICE N MARCOS but when it comes to fame,publicity and money,they are All Forgotten and its always the filmstars and the cricketers on people's mind.These people earn in crores just for ENTERTAINING us.Just see the News channels...these filmstars have jumped in with their MELODRAMA Titled As "WAR AGAINST TERROR" and TOWED AWAY all the Media & Public focus from the NSG,POLICE and MARCOS.God I hate them.I mean Whom are they fooling around with???WAR AGAINST TERROR...BULLSHIT.Every one knows about their offscreen stories of connection to u know what...They are nothing but LIMELIGHT PARASITES..Bollywood is a PALSTIC INDUSTRY.why dont these Cricketers and Filmstars come forward with financial help for the victims?It was people Like Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who came to the Rescue of the people Trapped just with one interest....TO SERVE THIS NATION WITH HIS LIFE & BLOOD OUT OF PURE AND SELFLESS LOVE FOR THE COUNTRY & IT's PEOPLE..
But Still in the future it will be all cricketers and filmstars RULING our minds and hearts who will MAKE MILLIONS out of OUR POCKETS and in return they will THROW AT US their ATTITUDE.And Them HELPING PEOPLE With THEIR MONEY In Such Times.....FORGET IT...NEVER..

All that People have done for Major Sandeep & others is put a garland on their photos,posted their salutes on sites and news channels,wrote & perfomed songs,perfomed candle march & peace rallies and more to all this, after one year you will see & hear the same people asking "WHO IS MAJOR SANDEEP UNNIKRISHNAN".We know Salman Khan,Shahrukh Khan or Mahendra Singh Dhoni or the SO CALLED MAHI...but Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan...never heard of him.
Do you Honestly Believe that the people who died in Mumbai Attacks were INNOCENT?No they were not.Because during previous attacks when they were alive they chose to remain silent and do nothing about this.WHY?Well The "ITS NOT MY ISSUE" ATTITUDE.At the time of 2006 Train Blasts where were all these High Profiles???Again...Middle Class People are Targeted so "ITS NOT MY ISSUE" and now can u tell me what this attitude has led the High Profiles into?THIS TIME The HIGH PROFILE PLACES Were Targeted And Most Of The People Who Died Were HIGH PROFILE.Always We Think That My Family Is SAFE,I M SAFE.Thats It.We Are Not Concerned Or Bothered About Others.But Can WE All Step Aside From I,ME & MY For One Second And Think That ALL THOSE Who DIED,ALL THOSE Who SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES FOR US...WHO WERE THEY?Were They From PAKISTAN?
One more example:Till Yesterday India Was The Only Victim At The Hands Of Terrorism And No One Really Bothered Or Cared Because For Them It Was Only India's Issue And Not Their's.Yes It Was Not Their Issue Till 9/11 Followed By Madrid Bombing In Spain And Then London Bombings on 7/7 - 21/7 Happened.
Well God has given us a Heart to Feel the Pain of Others and Eyes to see & Brain to Think Logically that Today Its Not My Issue But Tommorrow It Can Be.But we dont seem to use these GOD-GIFTED ASSETS AT ALL.
Our Present & Future is always the Reflection of Choices We Made In Past.From the 1993 blasts followed by 2002-2003 blast and 2006 train blasts,people knew what was happening was wrong and should be stopped on immediate grounds but yet they did nothing about it & chose to remain silent.It's Reflection...mumbai attacks 2008...And This Time Again....History Repeats itself and the people are Blaming Government.
According to me all those who sacrificed their lives in this ATTACK for the People including Major Sandeep should be given a celebrity status by the people and people should also demand for the Justice to be done to all those who died.
BUT LIKE I SAID HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.
Why do u think the anger has suddenly subsided and Mumbai is getting back to it's TOES?Actally people of Mumbai are now preparing themselves...again...for another MORE DRAMATIC ATTACK..I just hope that unlike this time I get the news well in time to Arrange For A Cup Of COKE & POPCORN & Yes Also Order A Pizza before settling in front of the News Channels...Except for one thing that I dont have a Heart to Go through...ANOTHER MAJOR SANDEEPs & GAJENDRA SINGs OR HEMANT KARKAREs,ASHOK KAMTEs,VIJAY SALASKARs,TUKARAMs & The List Goes On.I cant see my SOLDIERS,COMMANDOES & PERSONNELS Dying at the Hands of 20 year Olds.I LOVE MY SOLDIERS TOO MUCH TO SEE THEM GIVING AWAY THEIR MOST EXPENSIVE & MOST PRECIOUS LIVES TO SUCH PARASITES NAME TERRORISTS.
WELL THIS IS NOT OUR VICTORY.THIS IS A LOST BATTLE.LIFE OF AN INDIAN SOLDIER IS NOT THAT CHEAP TO BE WASTED IN THIS MANNER AND PEOPLE AND NOT THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD UNDERSTAND THIS.

I know this is a long comment and May be its Boring to Read But if you can Read it from my viewpoint than its an EYEOPENER.
And Last But Not The Least It definitely should be:

But for Indian People and not the Government
At least, NSG commandos and their acts were recognized by the sleepy nation. At least, Maj. Unnikrishnan received a heroes death. At least, the media for once let go their hunger for TRPs and focused on the Martyrs.
ReplyDeleteWhen I say, Indians have woken up, does not necessarily mean, the 1 trillion population woke up. Yes. but a % has definitely.
We Indians are always woken up by a jolt. We Indians suffer from short memory span. We forgive and forget easily. We tend to become relax until the next attack. And then we gear up shouting slogans for war and peace.
Tell me, What is that U have done other then throwing ur aggression around everywhere. Fine, people did not react to ur comments, so be it. Why do u want the whole world to react? When we decided to come up with the idea of dedicating a web site or blog to Maj. Unni, none of us may have thought that over 800 members would join the comm. Out of those 800, a very few members have dedicated themselves see the change happen. Although, we do want others to join in, but their being here is not a ground rule either.
What others are doing is not the priority here, the priority is what U are doing and whether U have it in u to bring that change. When U change the world will change with u.
U want the Armed forces to get their dues, work along with them to see that change happen.
Channelize your thoughts in the right direction and work towards it.
It is really very unfortunate that Sandeep Unnikrishnan & so many others had to lose their lives in such a way! My heartfelt condolences to their family members and near and dear.

Nobody will be cry anymore because GOD will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more(Revelation 21:3,4-Bible)
ALL THE DEAD WILL BE BROUGHT BACK TO ETERNAL LIFE IN THE SAME FORM BUT WITH HEALTHY BODIES. GOD WILL RESTORE THE PERSON'S MEMORY AND EVERY DETAIL ABOUT HIM/HER....WHAT A JOY THIS WILL BE.
INSTEAD OF SEEING ORBITURIES IN THE PAPERS, WE WILL GET TO SEE NEWS OF RESURECTIONS VERY SOON. IT IS A PROMISE BY GOD!!!
